Hydraulic Performance of Pervious Concrete Based on Small Size Aggregates

The paper aims to study the impact of clogging on pervious concrete mixes and explore a simple method calculate permeability using falling head in fabricated unit. materials used are cementitious aggregates, along with superplasticizers. OPC Grade 53 cement micro Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag (?GGBS). Two separate narrow aggregate gradations used: 2.36–4.75 mm 4.75–6.30 mm. water-binder ratio is taken as 0.25, aggregate-binder 3.33. compressive strength, permeability, potential calculated. average for 4.75–6.3 4.78 mm/s 8.16 m/s, respectively. clay sand concentration 5 g/l. introduction slurry reduces by 69.8% 74.9%, respectively, sand, it decreases 74.7% 71.7%, its first cycle. response such small aggregates different from standard coarse aggregates. compares study’s porosity, existing literature. It concludes that maximum occurs when material introduced specimen time. degradation depends particle’s particulate size matrix’s pore size. smaller not recommended areas high siltation.
